Fun Simple Birthday Cards!

Hi there lovelies!

Here's the birthday card set we made at Jollene's Paperie last Wednesday. --Told you I was behind on posting. We are getting there, though.

I used this adorable Julie Nutting mini Birthday Stamp Set. I just love these stamps. For not being very detailed these are pretty darn cute. I wanted to show people how quick you can put together some fun Birthday cards -- that you know you wont hoard! LOL! Like so many of us do.

Have a great day crafty  peeps!

Mixed Media Card Class at This n That!

Hi everyone!

I have gotten a tiny bit behind on posting and well everything since my trip to Puerto Rico.
I hope after this weekend I'll be caught up. Since coming back I have had only 2 days (in 2 weeks) and trying to prepare for 3 local classes, it was my sons Birthday and we had a surprise party oh yeah and Halloween! So it's been a little hectic. I will bounce back. Promise!

Here's a card using a Julie Nutting Stamp that I made for my Class at This n That. That class is THIS Wednesday and it's just about full! So it will be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see my regular girlies and some new faces, too! This class we going to be coloring using Copics and also creating this gorgeous Mixed Media background. The photo really doesn't do it justice!

I'll be posting some photos from my trip soon, too.

More Lili of the Valley.. more youtube videos!!!!

Hey there all you crafty peeps!

Today I have a  mixed media card to share. I have used papers from Lili of the Valley. They are called 'Festive Trimmings'! I just love the colors. The image is from the newly released stamps, this one is 'Cold Hands, Warm Hearts' It's such a sweet image I'm a sucker for the snow peeps!

I have 2 new YouTube Videos up.. Woo Hoo! Go me!!!

The new Copic video is of me coloring the image in this card. I wanted to show everyone how I get that little bit of extra depth when coloring. Believe it or not.. all I do is add 1 extra color..  in this video, 'N5'. It makes a HUGE difference when coloring!

The other Video is also of this card and how I put it together and gave a little 'mixed media' feel to it.
I hope you enjoy the videos. Have a wonderful day!

A pretty altered notebook!

 Hi there my crafty peeps!
I have a notebook I made using most of the products in this Frosted Designs Kit
I just adore this kit. The colors are gorgeous. I just love the new Tim Holtz stencil. I used some 3d molding paste on my journal with the stencil. I have distressed the edges of paper with my scissors and then I distressed them with the Tim Holtz Crackle Paint.

The stamp I'm using is this Gorgeous Bloom Girl Stamp. I used the no line coloring technique.
I just love those purple highlights in her hair! :)

I used some of the rub ons from the kit as well. Here's the sentiments along the bottom of the notebook.

I also added some faux stitching along the top corner. I took the Maya Road Scalloped Frame and painted it with white acrylic paint. Then I added the rub on in the center.

Frosted Designs Challenge - Stitching and Flowers

Hello out there in the crafting world.
I have a layout to share with you. I've use my Frosted Designs Enchanted Kit! So many goodies in there! :) This is my youngest daughter Katie's 1st grade school photo. She will be in second grade this year.. wow! Still can't believe it. Isn't she super cute!

I used the Kaiser Kraft Butterfly stamps and embossed some of them onto the gorgeous Bo Bunny Paper. I then, tore a few pieces of the paper and layered them onto each other. The cheese cloth in the back ground gives it a sewn on effect. I really LOVE the way this came out. Of course I added lots and lots of flowers too!

I hope you will be able to join us for our Flowers and Stitching challenge at Frosted Designs!

Mixed Media Christmas Card with Lili of the Valley.

Here's a mixed media card I made. At first I was not sure about how this was going to turn out. So I kept adding... and adding.. then I even "slept on it"  cause I couldn't get it to look right. When I woke up.. started on it again. Now, I LOVE this card so much. The background reminds me of the way an old piece of wood looks in the snow. Which reminds me of the times I spent in Bishop with my Great, Grandparents when I was a kid.

The Image I used is Lili of the Valley's, 'Christmas Prayer Stamp'. Never too early for Christmas cards. Oh, and wait till you see LOTV's new release... SWEEEET!

I used so much on this card.. lets see if I can remember it all...acrylic white and brown paint, white sparkly fluff, white flower soft, fancy pants cork stars, WOC flowers, glossy accents.

A Summer Wish.

Hello there my lovely blogger friends!
I have a card to share with you all today. I absolutely ADORE this card. This gorgeous little fairy is from Lili of the Valley, as if you didn't already know. This stamp is called 'Time Flies'. Boy, it sure does! I painted her with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. and for the flower I used my white acrylic paint and speckled it everywhere. It really looks like she's blowing the flower and making a wish. I'm so pleased with the outcome of this card!

The papers are Pion Designs and most of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, there are a few from Live, Love Crafts. The banner die is from Whiff of Joy, and the die that the image is cut out on is from Little Darlings, Oh, and the butterfly doily dies are from Magnolia. The little wooden pieces are from Studio Calico.

I hope you like my card as much as I do.
Have a great day! I know I will, although today is Monday, it's my Friday! :)
For some reason I wanna yell Yabba Dabba Doooooooo!!!!!

A little something different and some news!

Hello friends!

Today I have some wonderful news to share. I'm now a Design Team Member at Frosted Designs. I'm so excited they have such amazing kits. I think this will give me a creative outlet to expand my creativity. My life has become so repetitive from work to my classes and I think right now I NEED different. So I'm very excited about this!

Here's some products I used from Frosted Designs.
Studio Calico Wood Hearts

This week over at Frosted Designs Blog we have a Sketch challenge.
Here's my take on the sketch.

I used a 12x12 piece of cardstock and painted the center in white paint, very streaky. Then I placed my layout together and added some more paint on the wood pieces. Then I took my white chalk distresser and dabbed on the chalk tape and around the edges of my papers.  I used my Lili of the Valley Stamps, yes Lili of the Valley. They have a wonderful assortment of collage type stamps and beautiful scriptures.

This gorgeous paper is by Marion Smith Designs it's called Mad Hatter.
The Flowers are from Wild Orchid and Live Love Crafts.

I Love that Little 'Drink Me' I had to make sure that was in there!
After I had everything glued down I decided to add some distressing with my Distress inks!

I love, Love, LOVE this and I will be getting a shadowbox and it's going up in my house! :)

Some Challenges I'd also like to enter in are:

Scrap Around the World - Mood board (bottles, using a quote, hot air balloon)
