Valentine's Mixed Media Rose Card.

Hello there friends out in blogging land. Today I have a quick little mixed media card to show you. I had a lot of fun making this card. I love the bold colors and splatters and then all the surrounding white. I've really been obsessed with these clean and simple cards lately. Too bad I have bins and bins of flowers. Our styles changes so much over time, isn't that funny?

Clean and Simple Cards -- Fun Stampers Journey!

I have made a few quick Fun Stampers Journey cards here and there over the last few months. I thought I'd just share a few of them in one post. I have really enjoyed coloring other things besides people when creating these cards. It really reminds me I don't have to spend hours and hours on a card. Even though I really love doing that, too. Sometimes, I just don't have that kind of time, you know? Plus, I've really been drawn to Clean and Simple Cards lately. 

This first one I made using the Gifted Wings Set, Item# SS-0040. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and then took my Journey Glaze item AD-0003 and covered the entire glass area of the jar with the glaze giving the jar a glossy "glass" look.

Here's another project I made I used my ATC Stamp Rose Garden AT-0025. I used the banner from my Pennant Banner Die Set DI-0004 for the scalloped border along the top of me mini bag. 

Again, I used my Copics to color the image. R32, R35, R37, R39 and N5. The backckground is BG10, BG0000, N0, N1, N3. The Grass and leaves are my favorite YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97 and some N5 for shadows. The ground is E30, E31, E33 and E0000.

Here's a fun little card I created using my Daisy Blooms DI-0010. I love the 3d look of this card. I also used my  Journey Glaze item AD-0003, Journey Sparkle Dust AC-0013 and the fabulous Bloom Tool AC- 0073.

Little Darlings-Saturated Canary CHA Sneak Peek!!!

 

 

Hi there crafty peeps! Today I'll be in Anaheim for CHA!!

Last Minute Valentines!

Hi there everyone.

 

Today me and my munchkins (even the teenager!) made some Valentine's treats. I got the idea off of Pinterest. I just love that site! Anyways, all you do is get the square pretzels and some Hershey Kisses, the hugs look the cutest, then place the Kiss on the pretzel and put in the over for 3-4 min at 200 degrees. The Kisses have to be soft, NOT melted, and then push the Valentine m&m's in the center. Super fun and cute and YUMMY! My stomach hurts from all the candy I ate. This is why I don't bake.. I'll eat the entire time!

 

After we made the treats, I decided to throw a little 4x4 card together with my, My Minds Eye goodies I just got from a local scrapbook store a few weeks ago. I used the 6x6 'Sweetest Thing Happiness' paper pack and the Happiness wooden buttons and little stickers. I ADORE the entire Sweetest Thing collection. I couldn't make up my mind what to get. It was a very difficult time in the scrapbook store, I'll tell ya!

 

 When I got home I was browsing online and seen the challenge over on the My Minds Eye Blog and decided I'm gonna give that a shot! The theme is 'The Groundhog Day' movie. Since that's the movie that repeats I thought these 2 cards were perfect for the challenge since i had to make them the same, or the girls would fight! :) So here's my entry!

 I just covered the top with the new #3068 Tilda with Heart Socks from the new

Magnolia Love Collection. I made little hearts with my copics to make it look like she's throwing tiny hearts. It came out pretty cute!

New Stamp Release at LOTV!

 

It's time for a new release at Lili of the Valley.

I have a sneak peek for you all. I 'tried' and I really emphasize the 'tried' because I think I could have done better... with the coloring. I was trying to go for the old fashion look.. you know those photos with the little boy and girl and they are black and white or sepia and have a red rose? Well, that's what I wanted this to look like. :)

 

Today is my little girl's Birthday. My baby is 6. I offially do not have a child 5 and under..

Now I feel old.... well, not really.

A little shabby chic, anyone?

Hello all my blogging and crafty pals! I'm back from CHA and full of inspiration from all of my fellow crafters and design team members. I took a ton of pictures and I'll be putting them up sometime this weekend. I have lots to share and there were so many of us at times the poor person taking the photos had a row of cameras that they had to take pictures with. It was SO much fun. My face still hurts from laughing.

Ok, down to business! Here's my card for Magnolia-licious monthly challenge. Our theme is Vintage or Shabby Chic. I went with Shabby Chic since the Melissa Frances papers I used are very Shabby Chic looking. As always there's a very generous prize from Diana Crick from Magnolia-licious. A Valentine for my significant other...

Ok, a day late for this but you know what.. it's so cute therefore.. worth the wait. :) I made this for my signifcant other for Valentine's day. I used my new LOTV stamp that my dear friend Angie gave to me. This is such a fun image to color, as all their stamps.

Yesterday I went to Fountian Valley to the iCopic store. I met Ashley the owner and she's just the sweetest. Her and I have been emailing for about a month. I'm going to be teaching a Copic class on March 12th, if anyone is in the Southern California area and would like to attend. She will have more info on the iCopic Blog this week. I'm soooooo excited!! While I was there I was able to get some refills and markers for my Valentine's present! YAY me!!!!

I just love doing this background. Suzanne has an amazing tutorial on her blog. I was lucky enough to see her in action at CHA. She has amazing Copic skills!! This is also like Angie's distress background, which I LOVE but feel as if I have't got that down yet... LOL!

Happy Friday everyone! Well yesterday was my baby's birthday. Katie is 4 years old now. I feel like that's the official age of non baby/toddler. Now she's a kid (stuck in a 2 year olds body) She's REALLY small for her age. Great things come in small packages, right?

I have a card for Just Magnolia. Our challenge is a sketch, by Donalda. Such a fabulous sketch it is too. I hope you can come play along.

I'm getting really excited CHA is next week and I'll be there on Sunday - Tuesday. I get to meet some amazing friends I have made through my design teams...I will be in the Scor-Pal booth with my design team sisters from Magnolia-licious Diana, Angie, Barb, Suzanne and hopefully I will be able to make it over to the Stampavie booth so I can meet my Just Magnolia sister Michelle.
