New TOMIC Challenge

It's time for a new challenge over at TOMIC. We have a lovely sketch by Liza. I will be honest, I don't love this card. I redid the image twice. The first time was with Distress Inks and I hated it! I almost trashed the entire card. I tried just redoing the image in my Copics and it really made a difference. So here's my card, I hope it inspires you enough to join us over at TOMIC!

I just wanted to share that I have updated my Etsy Store. If there is a card you'd like to buy that isn't in there, please email me. Thanks so much.

I also wanted to reminder everyone about my Copic Class at Color me Creative. I'm working on my next class and hope to have it up soon. It's taking me a little longer than I planned, but it will be up!
Have a lovely day!

Magnolia-licious Mini Magnolia Binder Hop!

It's time for the Magnolia-licious September Blog Hop! This month our theme is is to decorate one of the new Magnolia Mini Stamp Binders. You have Mini Magnolia's you need this and if you don't have Magnolia Mini's you need to get some and the binder! :) The binder is a 3 ring binder each page has slots for the stamps and there's 2 slots per stamp, one for the stamp and one for the card to stamp the image and put the name of the stamp on the card too. How clever is that!

If you have come from Janiel's Blog you're on the right track if not you will want to start at the beginning on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog. Your next stop is Suzanne.

Have a wonderful week!

A very Shabby Chic Card with NO STAMPING!

Hi there! I have a very different card to share today. My Great-Grandmother, who is 92, asked if I would make her sister a Birthday card. My aunt just turned 90! Amazing right! So I wanted to make an elegant card, concentrating on a sentiment/poem. I found this poem online and I think it's beautiful and perfect for someone who is in their 90's. My Great-Grandmother loved it, she cried when she read it and was so very happy to give it to her sister.

There's NO STAMPING on this card. I don't think I've ever made a card where I didn't stamp. It came out pretty good though. I hope you all like it. I've made it for Cute Card Thursday, our theme is Anything Goes. I hope you will join us!

Have a wonderful day!

Little Darlings, Sepia coloring.

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Darlings. Our challenge for the next 2 weeks is to use Red and Brown. I wanted to do something a little different and I colored my entire image in browns so it looked like a sepia image. I'm not sure if I accomplished that look or not but I tried :) I used the image Decorating the Tree. I think this is such an adorable image. I love her hair and how she's pulling the tree. Super cute!!! You can get this stamp over at the Love to Stamp Store, along with these My Minds Eye papers.

I want to annouce the winner of my Little Darlings Candy since I completely forgot! My bad!!! I was extremely busy last week. So the lucky winner is....

Congratulations!!
Could you email me (StampinMindy AT yahoo.com) your mailing address so I can get your stamp to you!

I hope you all have a great day and I hope to see you participate at the Little Darlings Challenge. Remember you don't have to use a Little Darlings image to enter.

I can't believe it's been 10 years!

Ten years ago on this day I woke up and turned on the tv and was watching the news when the second plane hit the Twin Tower. I remember laying on the couch all day watching the news and crying. Seeing people jump out of the windows and people searching for loved ones. It was like a scene from a movie, so hard to believe it was actually happening.

I wanted to share 2 songs that I LOVE, they give me chills in 100 degree weather and still bring a tears to my eyes when I hear them.

It's not only a day to remember the innocent people who died and the heros that tried to save the innocent but to remember all the soldiers who lost their lives over the last 10 years fighting this war on terrorism and all who are STILL fighting!

To the Office..

Hello, fellow bloggers! I have a card for the new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. Our challenge is At The Office. I didn't really have any stamps to fit this so I went to the first place I normally look when I don't have the right image, Mo's Digital Pencil. I found this adorable image and thought it would work perfectly! I seen many people doing this technique lately where they use a lighter outline or ink. Since I don't have a lighter Memento ink pad I just lowered the opacity on the digi. I, of course, asked Mo if this was acceptable before I posted this. Thanks Mo! I just love the look you get and will be doing this technique again!

I hope you will join us at Cute Card Thursday this week.

See you tomorrow for Just Magnolia and hAngler.

Hello there, Happy Friday! Today I have a regular ole girly card. I've really been wandering out of my comfort zone and today I realized it while working on an upcoming design team card. You'll see that in a few weeks. Anyways I really like this card. These papers are from My Minds Eye, which I got at Love to Stamp. I LOVE the My Minds Eye papers. They are adorable! The stamp is obviously from Magnolia-licious and I think the sentiment fits this Tilda perfectly! I put some Flowersoft along the bottom to make her look like she's in a field of flowers.. just relaxing.

Little Darlings Pleats or Ruffles Challenge and some CANDY!

Today there's a new challenge over at Little Darlings! The challenge is to have Pleats or Ruffles on your card. The design team has done an AMAZING job. I hope you will visit them and join us for the challenge. You don't have to use a Little Darlings Stamp, but if you do and win you get a little extra added to your merchandise gift voucher.

When I was at Angie's a few weeks ago, I really wanted to try Prisma Colored Pencils. Well, they don't like me so much. I can't even tell you how many images I threw out. My 'Little Darling' looked like she used some of that tanning lotion and kept it on too long. LOL! On the day I was leaving Angie's she walked me through and showed me how to use them. This is the image I started. I guess I didn't do as great a job with finishing it. The hair and skin look so much better than the dress which I did at home. Angie gave me her second set of Prisma's so now I can practice. Thanks Angie!

I have a little bit of Candy to give away. All you have to do is link my candy on your blog, become a follower and link up with Mr. Linky, at the bottom of this post.

You have until September 6th to enter. I will choose and post the winner on September 7th. Here's the adorable stamp you could win.
