April Kit of the Month with Copics!

Hello everyone.
Have you seen Fun Stampers Journey's Kit of the Month. It's adorable!!
If you don't have a large collection of supplies and embellishments these kits are perfect! You get 4 card kits with colorful step by step instructions. I always challenge myself to come up with a completely different design using the combined card kits in the kit. I do add white or a neutral card stock and or little embellishments.

You know me and my foam dots! Look at all the height.. love dimension and texture!

Here's a little work in progress timeline I've created. I love to see little coloring bring an image to life! I masked her with the raindrops and then colored her with my Copic Markers.
I used:
Skin: E11, E00, E000,
Cheeks: R32, R30
Coat: Y26, Y21
Hat and scarf: R85, R81, RV10
Background: N1, BG0000,
Ground : BG11, BG10, BG0000
Umbrella: N5, N3, N0, R85, R81, Y26, Y21

I always give little sneak peeks like this on my instagram and sometimes on Facebook. I'd love it if you would follow me!

After I attached her to my card I added some Journey Sparkle Dust to the umbrella, rain drops and ground.

I love to 'make things my own'. Take a look at the cards you could make from the kit or do something on your own that inspired you!

Turn an old box into Mixed Media Art!

Hi there everyone!

I'm up on the Limor Webber Designs Blog today!
Here's a Mixed Media Box I decorated out of a Levis belt box. I just love how you can use things in your home that you'd normally throw away and turn it into art!
The Sentiment is From Jamie Dougherty's Bloom Girl Anneli.

I really love all of the textures on this box. In the video below you can learn how I layer all of these elements. Sometimes Mixed Media can be a little intimidating when you see a busy project and don't know where to begin or what to do first, such as painting or stamping adding texture paste, etc.

Here's a video tutorial of me creating this little box and all the different stages and textures you build upon. I hope you enjoy the video and are inspired to create your own Mixed Media art!

Enjoy!

A Spring Birthday Card with Unity!

Here's a card I made using Unity's January Kit of the Month. This kit is so versatile and the sizes of the stamps are so much bigger than what you would think from the photo online. The Sentiment is from the Sweet Elle Stamp of the Week Set.

JANUARY-2015-MAGIC-OF-BEGINNINGS

I used the 'no line' stamping technique, one of my favorites. I stamped the image in Memento Desert Sand ink and colored with my Copics using Y0000, Y21, Y26, Y28, G82 and G85.

I added some Flowersoft along the entire bottom of the card. I love the texture the Flowersoft gives.

I took some Journey Glaze and put some in the centers of all of the flowers. You can see a little shine to them in the photo. Of course I use lots of 3d foam dots when creating. It adds so much to your cards. Even if it's a simple one.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Springtime Happiness with Unity Stamps!

Hi there everyone. I can't believe it's already April! It feels like I just put my Christmas Tree away!
This month I've been asked to Guest Design for Unity Stamps.
This is a Stamp from the January Kit of the Month. These Kits are so much fun and they have a TON of stamps and we are not talking about a little stamp set. Nope! These stamps are a all a good size stamp for card-making, mixed media and even for scrap-booking!

I really LOVE the simple look lately with cards. I still love layers but I think I'm going through a non-flower phase. :)

I hope you will follow me throughout the month and see my Unity Projects!

Only one week left to order the March Kit!!

Hello Stampin' buddies!

There's only a week left to order your Fun Stampers Journey March Kit of the Month
This kit was so much fun to work with. This kit can be used for just about anything, Birthday for an adult, kid's pirate party, love, sympathy.. you name it. It's extremely versatile!

Like all of the Fun Stampers Journey Kits you will receive an exclusive Stamp Kit, pre-cut and scored card kits with embellishments! Plus, you'll get instruction sheets which are printed on a glossy card stock. You could keep these in page protectors in an inspirational album for years to come!

Here's my take on creating cards using the March Kit. You know me, I always have to build those layers.. and challenging myself to create something using my own style.

On this next card I frayed the ribbon a little and had placed it peeking out from behind some of the layers giving this card pops of orange. I also put Journey Glaze over the entire bottle.

I just LOVE all of the circle elements on this last card. It really came came together nicely. The stitching effect really is an eye catcher. Even though these kits already have the die cut outs and stitched markings on them these really are a must have for your wishlist! These circles have a die and a separate piercing die so you can do either cut or pierce or BOTH!
I LOVE these Journey Circle Dies item #DI-0039. There's also Squares, Rectangles, Long Rectangles and Oval Dies with matching Piercing Dies!

Here's the 4 premade cards all completed that you could make with your kit, or you can re-create what I made or come up with something else that tickles your fancy!

You can subscribe to the Kit HERE!

Oh, and check out my video below on creating my FIRST card in this post.. I didn't pre-design before I recorded so you can see all of my ..how about here.. or here, or here... hmm here.. no never-mind not that. LOL!
It's kind of entertaining! :)

Keep the Stars in your eyes..

Happy Monday All!

A couple weeks ago I shared some very exciting news with you all. There's a fantastic post up on Richard Garay's Blog so you can hear a little more about all of the designers.

Today I have a fun card to show you. I used Fun Stampers Journey last month's Kit of the Month. I just love this little ballerina. The stamp set is called 'Twinkle Toes'.

The stamped collage under the star is from 2 different Stamp sets, The dots, stripes, stars and spots are from the SS-0009 Banner Party Stamp Set. Then I used the ATC Stamp Set AT-0090 Honeycomb. I love the Honeycomb stamp!! I used My Fun Stampers Ink Pad IP-0029 Sweet Berry,

I added AC-0013 Journey Glaze  all over the entire star.
I also added spots here and there on the collage.
Then I sprinkled the Journey Dust over that. It gives such a beautiful, shiny, sparkle look.

I popped up my images and elements with some AC-0098 Journey Foam Squares.

I colored the ballerina using my Copics.
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair - N9, N7, N5, N3
Outfit - N0, N1. N3, tiny bit of N5

You know me, always looking for those extra little embellishments for different textures. I added some AC-0113 Journey Sequins Blue Skies and that darling little paperclip from
the AC-0101 Fun Day Elements assorted Clips.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card.
Please pop on over and see the Design Team Post over on Richard Garay's Blog. We are all just thrilled to the moon and back about this fantastic experience and we want to share it with you all!

Limor Webber Mixed Media Card!

Hello Everyone, Today I have a pretty simple card to show you. It's a mixed media type card. I really love the way it turned out. It was simple and yet so many different textures and elements. Really a fun card!

I love all of the height and dimension from the stickers and the flowers.. leaving a small shadow on the colorful splatter under them.

If you ever want to add a little height and weight to your card all you need to do is glue a square of cardstock under the first layer. It adds dimension and gives your card sturdiness.

Enjoy the video!

Fun Stampers Journey Make Amazing Design Team!

Hello Everyone! Today I'm sharing some wonderful news. If you haven't already seen on Facebook, anyways. I'm a Design Team Member for Richard Garay and Fun Stampers Journey.

Last week I was at the Journey Station doing some fun behind the scene stuff. It was so great to see where it all happens. I met Rhea Weigand she is so sweet and talented! Her and I went to eat with Richard and Gabby one day for lunch and after that I was so motivated to really give my 110% with this company!

Not only am I a designer for this amazing company I'm also a Journey Coach. I seriously cannot believe how much this company has grown over the last 6 months. We have finally hit 500 coaches so the started kit has gone up to $199. Which is still an amazing deal considering all you get!

Here's one of the cards I made when applying for the Design Team. I colored Twinkle Toes with my Copics. This adorable set was February's Kit of the Month.

If you are interested in ordering or becoming a coach you can contact
me at StampinMindy AT Yahoo.com I can have a catalog shipped out to you if you'd like to host a catalog party, too!

Have a great day everyone. Thank you for sharing this fun journey I'm on!
