Mini file box

I found this mini file box at Target for .99 cents Before I put the designer series paper it looked like a brown paper bag. Inside are brown dividers I used the Tab Punch and the other side of the designer series paper and put them on top of the dividers. I left the top of the box the blue it's like a fabric but it goes so well with this paper I just left it. I made a matching paper clip to go with this little gift set. It will be for a prize at my workshop tomorrow.

I been so busy I forgot to post the inside of the journal, I cut a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet in half and made these pages into a 12 month calendar. I printed out the calendar, and lined sheets on regular lined paper and then stamped the pages and used coodinating colors to match the month, depending on the holiday or season.
I took a piece of cardstock and scored it, folded it like an accordian, then pierced the top and bottom and center and pulled the hemp twine through each, pulling the book tight. I used brads to attach the pages to the accordian part. I cut excess twine off, and applied ribbon to which you could see better in the previous post.

Happy Birthday to me...

Today is my Birthday! When I was a little girl if you asked me when my Birthday was I'd say May Terd! LOL!! Everyone still makes fun of me. I'm sitting here in front of my computer looking at a gift my hubby stuck in the printer so when I'd sit here I'd see it. I love the anticipation I don't wanna open it!! I'm so excited I wonder what it is! I'm asking for money from family members who are asking what I want so I can buy ... yup.. Stampin' Up! Stuff!! So I hope to be creating lots of new things with all the goodies I'll soon be buying!

Goodies in the Mail!!

Look what I got yesterday afternoon from my WONDERFUL upline Catherine She's the best. Even though she's on the other side of the United States from me I couldn't ask for a more helpful upline. She's always there to answer my questions, and I do ask alot of them. She's made her Stampin' Up! business very successful, I'm very lucky to have her to learn from!

Sandwich Baggy Purse Tutorial

Take a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock and a fold top sandwich baggy, Score the piece of cardstock at 3 1/2 inches and 5 inches, Take the top of the baggy and fold it towards the back so it's even at the top of the opening. Place adhesive on the top of the cardstock and place the baggy on the adhesive like shown in above picture.

Fold the scored area.

Put adhesive on the top of the inner and outter part of the cardstock then take the baggy and open it to the other side of the cardstock folding the baggy over the outside of the cardstock.

Cut 2 pieces of cardstock 8 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches

Stamp them and score them at 3.1 and 5 inches.

Attach them to the top part of the purse with your adhesive covering the folded baggy.

Cut 2 pieces of cardstock 1 2 1/2 x 2 inches the other 1 1/2 x 1 inch and stamp them or decorate however you'd like.

Place the 2 1/2 x 2 inch cardstock over the over lapping cardstock on each side of the purse.

Here's how both sides should look so far.. almost finished..

Take a 9 inch piece of ribbon attaching each side to the outter part of the bag with brads. leaving about a 1/4 inch or so hanging down from the brad.

Heres Your finished Folded baggy purse. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. It's my first I've ever done. If you dicide to make a baggy purse I'd love to post a picture of it here on my blog so please Email it to me vegas_emerald@yahoo.com Thanks.

2 Cards today How lucky am I?!

For the little holes I used a thumb tact pen thingy .. Which also works well to insert a brad, if you dont have any of the other tools

My mom is going to her friends daughters baby shower sunday so she asked me to make her a card. I used bashful blue, confetti white and chocolate chip cardstock. Bordering Blue ink, Baby Talk stamp set, Stampin' Around Sweet Feet, Stampin' Around Baby Time.

A Baby Card

My Neighbor accross the street just had a baby last Friday I believe, I dont really know her too well but I decided to make her a card. I used Pixie Pink and Confetti White Cardstock. I took the confetti white card stock and used the the words back ground stamp from Baby Talk Stampin Up Stamp set, and I stamped it in Versamark then embossed it with the clear embossing powder. Then I took Perfect Plum ink and sponged it in a circular motion, then I added some Rose Red ink to sponge and went back over it. I stamped the strip in the baby accessories and rubbed the entire strip of pixie pink cardstock on the versamark pad and then embossed itwith clear embossing powder. I ripped the edges and then attached the strip to the plain confetti white cardstock. Simple huh?!
