I have decided to do some blog candy. I do not normally share a lot of personal things here on my blog, but I'm am just so excited I HAVE to share. So today you are all going to be "let in" on a VERY personal aspect of my life! About 4 months ago I decided to go back to school, I never did graduate high school, I started having babies way too young. I have been a stay at home mom since I had my son 11 years ago and I've always said I will go back. So 12 years and 3 kids later I FINALLY did it I took my GED test on Dec. 16 and 17, I got the final results today and I PASSED! This is such a HUGE accomplishment for me and it's only the begining of my new adventure. So I'd like to offer some Blog Candy, some Valentines goodies. I will draw a winner on Feb. 1st so the winner can have these in time to make some Valentines stuff.

Contrats! I also had my kids very young, and didn't start college till I was 29. I had 4 kids by the time I was 28. I've been going off and on now for a long long time. I'm 52 now and have grandchildren to enjoy. We all have our own path to follow at our own pace.

I am so thrilled for you, Mindy!!! What a wonderful accomplishment! It really doesn't matter when you did it, but that you followed through and accomplished your goal! My son is 25 and is set to take his GED test in February...he is so excited. I can really appreciate the feeling of getting this done. I just graduated from college in May and I am 45!!!

OH MINDY, I'm sooo very happy for you!! CONGRATULATIONS!! :) That's so awesome. My BF from HS dropped out in 10th grade and had 3 babies as well, and is now doing really well. Taking some online college courses. You can do it Mindy! A lot of people from my church are going back to school as adults and pursuing a career, even in their 30's and 40's.
