Can you believe my Nana and Papa (Great-Grandparents) would have been married 75 years this month if my Papa hadn't dies a year and a half ago. He was 96 years old! My Nana is now 93 and missing the love of her life. I spent a week with her a few weeks ago and I heard wonderful stories of their life together. My Nana would go on about something then look down and twirl her fingers and say I can't believe he's gone, then look up at me with tears and say it would have been 75 years this month, that we were married. It's amazing how life really does go by in a blink of an eye.
I made this card for my Nana in celebration of their 75th Wedding Anniversary!
It's for the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge, the theme this week is 'Diamonds and Pearls' which has Nana written all over it! :)
Hope you like my card and will join us for the challenge.

ReplyDeleteMindy, this card is so gorgeous and your story about your Nana brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for her loss. 75 years is so long for her to have lost him just a couple of months before that blessed day... You made a stunning card and I hope she truly enjoys it... May God bless her and may she keep remembering those wonderful memories she had.

ReplyDeleteCould you give me their details, please, i.e.: exact dates of birth (and death for him), full names (by birth for her as well in fact), their exact date of marriage (somewhere in April 1937, I suppose) and place of living, my dear Mindy?
