A Boy Card!

Hi everyone!

I have a card for Lili's Little Faries, the challenge this week is to create a card for a boy. I made this card last week in about an hour, coloring and everything!! It sure does look a little nakid though. I used some really wild, gorgeous papers by Basic Grey. It was easy not to cover them up with a ton of embellishments.

I leave tomorrow for CHA! I'm looking forward to spending some time with my good friend, Angie and all my other Magnolia-licious buddies. I'm also looking forward to meeting some of my fellow dt members and it's always great to meet new people, too! I've got my camera all charged for pictures! Hopefully I'll take more than last year.

I'm late with my post. Today is my daighter's birthday. She's 5! I cannot believe it. We spent the morning putting her new Lego Friends toy together and making her cake (Angel food cake with strawberries and whip cream! YUM-O)

Here's the card I made for Just Magnolia and Fussy and Fancy. Just Magnolia's theme is to have a windo of some sort on your card and Fussy and Fancy is to include a heart. I have no idea what is wrong with me lately but I cannot find any inspiring papers for the life of me. The last few cards I've made I have taken longer to figure out what papers then it takes me to actually make the card. I guess I need to do some shopping and some serious cleaning out papers.

Today is our Magnolia-licious Valentine's Blog Hop!

I tried stamping on fabric for my very first time on this project. I bought this tote at Michaels for a couple of dollars. It was tricky coloring on canvas because the ink spreads. I just used my Memento Ink and Copics to color. Next time, I will be able to shade a little better, now knowing how the ink spreads. Anyways I hope you like my project. I know you will enoy the hop my fellow design team girlys have really outdone themselves as always.

Happy Monday!

I'm so happy, my kids go back to school today! So I get a few hours of no bickering. I'm so excited!!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did a little bit of crafting and watched a few movies. A very relaxing weekend.

I used one of the images I colored for my This and That Magnolia Class. One of the techniques I'm showing is to create hardwood floors around your image. I'm planning on the class going up on January 7th or sometime that weekend. It will be $45 but if you pre-register the price is $40. You can Pre-Register HERE. Hello everyone! I've been a little behind on things the last few days. I feel like all I've been doing is cleaning, putting stuff away, cooking, cleaning... ALL DAY!!! Today I put away all the Christmas stuff. When it's over, it's over.. I can't have it linger through New Years. So I have my house back.. so I can get back to the ole' crafting grind! Tomorrow I will anyways!

Hello everyone! Today we have a new challenge over on Wild Orchid Crafts. Our theme is Christmas Friendship. What doesn't look more friendly than a Tilda decorating using other Tildas?! This is also another card I made for Diana to display at CHA. I love this paper I used. We don't have a scrapbook store where I live so I have to settle for what I find at Michaels or Joann's. Which usually isn't that great, but when you need some last minute paper you get what you get. This Precious Moments paper is too cute, though! That's why it may look a tad plain, I didn't want to cover it up.

Hello my friends from all over the world!

I have a new card and some things to share with you today. Today over at Cute Card Thursday our challenge is stripes. I've used some striped paper. I masked these mini Magnolia snowy trees behind Ice Skater Tilda and I used my Copics to create the icy pond. How'd I do??? I used my white gel pen to make snow flurries all over.

I masked these 2 cuties, Decorating The Tree and All For Me. I wanted to make a round card to resemble a wreath , so I pulled out my Edwin Lace Die to give it that look. Isn't it cute! Hi my lovely craftin' bloggin' buddies! I've been meaning to post some candy and here it is! I've been so lucky this year. I love each and everyone one of my design teams and I'm so lucky to be on them. I'm truly on the most amazing teams ever! I have done so much this year from getting published to teaching and I'm truly grateful for where I am today.

Mini Magnolia Ornament Tutorial!

Hello everyone! I've gotten so many emails and questions about the plastic ornaments I made using the Mini Magnolia's. So here's my tutorial! There's LOTS of pictures, I'm sorry if they take a while to load or make your computer lag.

Supply List

Mini #3092 Tucked Tilda, Christmas Sentimen Stamp, Crafters Tacky Glue, Silver German Glass Glitter, Bakers Twine, Roses or Flowers, Crop o dile, eyelet, ribbon, Q-Tip, Oval Spellbinder Nestabilities, 2 ovals, one with your image and one with a sentiment, Plastic Ornament from Michaels (.99)

Put your stamped image and sentiment image back to back and use your Crop-o-Dile to make a hole.

Place your eyelet in the hole.

Tie your twine in the eyelet. Leaving the strings a little long. I would say 3-4 inches on each strand.

Put the image aside and get your ornament and take off the silver cap.

Pour your tacky glue inside.

Using your Q-Tip spread the glue all along the bottom of the ornament.

I made swirls to make it look like snow.

Add a few pinches of white FlowerSoft.

Shake it around covering the glue.

Then I add a little Silver German Glass Glitter and shake that around.

Now grab your image and round it around your finger.

Tada!

Squeeze it into the ball, leaving the twine out.

Make sure you hold the twine, so you can control the way your image is placed.

Now, with your pinky, or maybe a pencil, push, flattening the image.

Like this....

and this...

Now pull place the twin on each sid of the ornament, centering your image.

Pop the silver cap back on.

Add bows, flowers or whatever you like.

Here' the back.

Today I have a card for Cute Card Thursday our challenge is Anything Goes. I've use my Little Darlings Ice Dancer Stamp, from Love to Stamp and colored her with my Prisma colored pencils. I love the color I achieved with them. The sentiment I used is one I made and you can use it too! You can save the image under my Free Sentiments section.

Mini Magnolia Hair Bow Tutorial!

Hair Bow Tutorial

Supplies

Ribbon (wired ribbon works best but you can use regular, I did)

Lace

Scor-Tape

Twine

Bow Easy

Favorite Mini Magnolia's

Flowers

Wrap the ribbon around the largest part of your bow easy 8-9 times.

Cut a small slit in the center of the bow.

Cut on the other side too. Make sure you DO NOT let the cuts meet!

Tie some Twine in a knot inbetween the slits and pull tight.

Pull the bow off and start pulling apart your bow loops.

Pull the loops in all different directions.

Fan the loops out, if you want the bow to go all around.

Here's how it should look so far.

Hot glue the center to help keep it in place.

Place some Scor-tape on the back of your image. This circle is 1 1/14 circle.

Put your lace all around for the border.

Isn't it cute!?

Glue to the center of the bow.

On the back of the bow glue the plain clip.

Make sure you open it so you don't glue it together. :)

Add flowers if you'd like.

Ya.. me neither! LOL! I'm probably the only person in my family who isn't into football, or any sport for that matter. BUT my dear friend Diana asked if I could make her some card fronts for her grand-daughters scrapbook. She was a Denver Bronco's Cheerleader for Halloween. These are what I came up with. The first stamp I'd like to show you is my favorite and I think it will be a favorite amongst all of you. Here is Little Darlings 'Snowy Friends'. The back ground is one that will be released next year. It's actually a grassy hill back ground. Angie used the image in Puerto Rico and said "It can go with any stamp, well not a snowman image" SO.. I said wanna make a bet!

So here it is ladies in Puerto Rico! :) *waves*

It's a Girl!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I ate so much in the last 2 days! I can't remember feeling so full.. oh wait yes I can, in Puerto Rico.. man o man.. I'm going to need to go on a diet.

I haven't made a card in like a week and it feels like F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I made this card about a month ago for my moms friend, who was going to a baby shower. The colors were pink, black and white. Baby stuff tends to give me the he-be-jeebees, LOL! Everyone loved the card though. :)

I also combined this card with this weeks Just Magnolia and hAngler challenge. The theme is pink, red, white. I hope you you will join us over at Just Magnolia and hAngler.

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Darling Challenges. This challenge theme is Thank you. I had just gotten this paper and really wanted to use it so I combined Christmas and Thank you. I made the sentiment and if you'd like it you can get it from my Free Digital Sentiments section on my blog. I used Little Darlings ' Decorating the Tree' stamp. I love this image. I'm sorry for the poor quality photo but I made this card right before I left for Puerto Rico and I forgot to take pictures of it! I'm dreaming of a PINK Christmas!!!

Hi there my friends out in bloggerland.

I have some Christmas ornaments I made for my friend Sherri. Of course they are pink. I made her some pink pinecones and a framed Tilda last year and she liked them so much she keeps them up all year! LOL! This year she's going to have an all pink tree. I had pink and white last year, this year I'll have pink, white and purple. I cannot wait to get it up. I'll be posting pictures.

Pictures of my Trip to Puerto Rico!

Well, I'm back from my trip to Puerto Rico. I had such an amazing time. I met so many wonderful, friendly people and had a great time with Angie. Yamille, the owner of Memory Box Scrapbooking Store is an amazing! She is fun and outgoing and brings many smiles to a room.

On Friday and Saturday we had all day classes and I ate so much!. Angie is an amazing Copic instructor, I learned so much from her. Sunday we went to Old San Juan and walked around and went shopping and ate so much! Monday we went shopping at the Mall and a Clothing Boutique and ate SO MUCH! Yes I ate more in this trip than I eat probably in 2 weeks! It was all delicious, too!

I'm back from Puerto Rico and had an amazing time! I'll post more later.

Hello! This is a scheduled post since I'm not at home and I'm in Puerto Rico with my wonderful amazing friend, Angie! If it wasn't for her I would be sitting my butt at home! LOL! I hope I remember to take lots of pictures, I hope I didn't get lost in Texas during my lay-over, I hope I don't freak out waiting for Angie's plane to arrive in Puerto Rico .. can you tell I'm nevous!! (I'm writting this Tuesday) I KNOW I'll be fine.. just butterflies. As much as a vacation is needed I will miss my kiddos, it does make me sad that I'm leaving my family. Moms need a break too though! I've have more vacations this year than in the last 14 years.. I guess I'm making up for lost times, eh? OK I AM nervous.. look at me rambling!!!!!!!!!

This card is for Just Magnolia. Our theme was chosen by Jan and is to use Black, Grey, Red and White. I thought this was going to be difficult but I love the way this card came out. I've been wanting to do something with 2 images and one being able to open up like this. I wanted the door to show a little more behind Tilda... I'll have to try it again, with different stamps, of course.

Silver Bells Challenge at Little Darlings!

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Darlings. Our theme is Silver Bells. You can interpret it however you please. Use bells, or sliver or even quote the song. Remember you do NOT have to use Little Darlings stamps to enter the challenge, although we love it when you do!

I decided to go with making a silver card using Checking it Twice. I love Santa's that wear the white suit, I decided to emboss his coat and hat using irridecent ice embossing powder. I used a versamark pen, too. It has so much glitter in person. I love the way this card came out.

Well in the wee morning hours I will be on my way to the airport and I'll be off to Puerto Rico!

Whimsy Publication and new Wild Orchid Craft Challenge.

I've been published, again! This time in the new Whimsy Online Magazine. Pretty exciting huh!?

I used this new stamp from Whimsy, if you didn't already know, Sylvia Zet's Wee Stamps images have gone rubber! This image is called Winter Fairy. Isn't she a cutie! My friend, Denise and owner of Whimsy Stamps, featured a section of some of us Wild Orchid Craft Designers in her magazine, so we were able to play with some of their super cute stamps!

I've also made this card for Wild Orchid Craft's new challenge, Blue and Brown. You must use at least one Wild Orchid Craft product to enter our challenges and no more than 3 other challenges can be combined in your entry. I hope you will find the time to play along with us! Wild Orchid always has a FANTASTIC prize to offer!

Candy Pops Tutorial

Sorry it's taken me so long to get this up. You can make these for all occasions though, just change up your colors and stamps.

Step 1.

Gather your plastic cup things. These are Stampin' Up! ones then I cut out your image and then get a different color piece of cardstock and cut another circle a size bigger.

Step 2.

Poke a hole in the cup to fit the stick of the sucker through and then add more candy, if you wish. Then glue the cup to the colored cardstock.

Step 3.

On the other side add some Scor-Tape along the outter edges.

Step 4.

Take strips of ribbon and make a border all around.

Here's how it looks on the other side. Pretty cute, right!?

Step 5.

Add more Scor-Tape going all the way around and then make loops with your ribbon.

Step 6.

Color your image and add it to the pop.

Here's the back.

Step 7.

Add a sentiment and bow if you wish!

Another Christmas scene card.

It's Friday once again. I know it doesn't look like I've been doing much lately but I really have been pretty busy with some stuff I just cannot show you just yet. Soon enough, though.

Have any of you seen the new CardMaker Magazine. I haven't but guess who's on.. page 14 (I think) YUP.. ME!!!! I cannot wait to see it in person. My friend sent me a picture of the page and it looks great!

Well I've got 6 days to go and I leave to Puerto Rico!! I can't wait. :)

Ok now for today's card, which is for Fussy and Fancy. Our theme is Thankful. I couldn't help using my new Christmas Magnolia's. I made my own sentiment. Then I took my silver filgree corners from Wild Orchid and made a tree with them to match my blue and silver theme. I wasn't sure about the whole card.. but I really like my painting in this one. The liquid pearls makes the perfect snow! Angie inspired me with the card she made the other day, you can see it HERE.

I have so much stuff I want to do on my blog and just cannot seem to find the time.. hopefully soon.

Hello blogger buddies!

It's November 1st and you know what that means. Time for a new challenge over at the

Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog. This month the hostess with the mostess is Angie. She has chosen 2 photos for you to be inspired by. They are both beautiful!

I chose the second photo. I just love the crisp Winter sky and all the snow. I live in Southern California and we don't really have drastic weather changes. So I would love to have snow for the winter... although most of my design team buddies will disagree with me. :)

I really love this card I made. Tilda could be taken as really sweet and made a heart snowball for Edwin. Or she's sneaky and she's gonna clobber him when he walks by with his hands full of goddies.. I think she's gonna clobber him!!!!!! LOL!!

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you all had a great week. Mine was a regular 'ole week.

I'm getting excited about my trip to Puerto Rico with Angie. Her and I have so much fun together, I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!

Time for another challenge over at Just Magnolia and hAngler. I made this card a few months ago. I showed it to Angie and she really wanted it so I sent her an early Christmas card. :) I used my DI's and really added a lot of layers. Buttons, Twine.. NO FLOWERS, OH MY!! Yes ladies and gentleman, there are no flowers on this card.. shocked much!!?? LOL!! I absolutely love this little guy. I made this card for my son, his Birthday is this Sunday and I still call him 'Pumpkin'. He hates it.. but I really don't care! :) He'll always be 'Pumpkin' in my book!

Hello. I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy.

It's time for a new challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts. Our challenge for the next 2 weeks is to have Santa on your card. I have him on my paper and Tilda is dressed up like Santa, too. I had such a hard time with the card. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I changed the paper, layout and stamps. I had to walk away from it a couple times. In the end I'm happy with the outcome. I think I just have a hard time with these colors.

Today there is also a new challenge over at TOMIC. We are playin' BINGO this week! I chose the line, lace, ribbon and accessory stamp. I hope you will be able to play along.

Hello everyone! Happy Friday.

I have an altered notebook to share with you. This week over at Fussy and Fancy our challenge is to use a black border and bling! It's not my week over at Just Magnolia but I had already planned out my project for this week, our theme is Pink for Breast Cancer Awarness. I found this notepad in the dollar section at Target. It was too cute to resist. It's a smaller notebook, the stamp I used is Mini #341 Tilda blowing hearts from Diana Crick's amazing store, Magnolia-licious!

I also have some wonderful news to share, if you haven't already heard. On November 10th I'll be heading out to Puerto Rico, with my good, sweet, dearest oober talented friend, Angie Hunt! I decided to decorate this tin I've had for quite sometime now. I thought it would be perfect for this hop! Since it's all about Dr. Edwin I decided to put some necessities for when you're sick. Magnolia Coloring Class 2 and Dr. Edwin!!!!

Hello my lovely crafty friends! I have a new card to share today, which is for Just Magnolia and hAngler. Our theme this week is Distressing, which I've used my scissors to distress the edges of my paper but of course it's difficult to see.. I used my Dr. Edwin Stamp, sold exclusivly at the one and only, fabulous, Magnolia-licious! I just love him! I love the Tim Holtz clock face and I printed out that sentiment. Doesn't it go perfectly!!!

Today I'm finally getting my Magnolia Coloring Class 2 up and going over at Color me Creative! YAY! It's focused on using light sources and showing where to put those shadows. I hope you enjoy it, if you're interested in taking it. I also have a super cute blinking I made for it, too.

Here's my project, I decided to make a Luminarai. I have a colored, battery operated candle. I tried to get some different colors showing but it was hard to see in my light tent. I have been wanting to color this image pink, hot pink! I really love it.

Christmas Bulbs!

Oh my, my, my!! I'm going to have a tree of these gorgeous bulbs.

If I don't end up giving them away! I just love making Christmas decorations for my friends. I found these PLASTIC, gotta love plastic cause the kids and dog, at Michaels for .99! I need to go get more. I used the Mini Magnolia's. I just love these stamps, especially if you are doing something like this where you're making a lot, you don't spend a lot of time coloring.

I made this for the new Challenge over at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge which is Anything Christmas. I hope you will join us.

*Directions*
I cut my image out on a Spellbinder oval then cut a second oval for my sentiment and put it back to back. I attached a small eyelet at the top and tied some twine so I can have control of the image once I put it in the bulb. Before putting the image in the bulb I took a Q-tip and and put some Tacky Glue on on it and put the glue on the inside of the bottom of the bulb. then I sprinkled white Flowersoft and some Silver German Glass in the pottom and shook it around. Then I rolled my image and stuck it, holding onto the twine. Then I pressed the image along the side of the bulb in the opposite direction, flattening it. Leave the Twine hanging out and attach the lid, flowers and bow!

Spooky Bookmark!

Happy Friday!! Today I have a Spooky Bookmark to show you. I just love making these corner bookmarks. The Scor-Buddy makes it so easy to make too! Today at Fussy and Fancy we have a Halloween theme. I just love this little Edwin. He's so cute! I'm a big goof ball, I'll admit it... I didn't realize this was a moon with bats background. I thought it was just a scene.. Otherwise I would have added shine to it. Oh well!

Normally I would have added Just Magnolia and hAngler to my post but we have all agreed to have teams letting all the members be on a bi-weekly schedule. So I'll be back with a challenge for next week.

Fall Piece of Cake!

Hello my friends! I hope you all are having a great week. Today I have a project that is seriously so much fun and easy to make! The first time I made it was for the Magnolia Ink Chocolate edition Magazine, which was the most recent Magnolia Ink released. I don't have step by step photos but I am sharing a written step by step with you today!

I use the printable cake piece template I found online, you can find it on Splitcoast and I fold it.
Add Brown Flowersoft to the areas shown.
Then take my liquid pearls an add it to the top and in the center for frosting. I use my finger to smooth it out and then drizzle the liquid pearls on the top and I make drips onto the FlowerSoft.
Find an image, if you like I used Little Darlings Autumn Friends and attach it along with your favorite Wild Ochid Crafts Flowers ribbons and goodies.

Happy Birthday Magnolia!

It's Magnolia's Birthday and we all have made a special Halloween project for the challeng over at TOMIC. I decided to get out these Stampin' Up cup thing-a-ma-bobs I got from my friend Juanita a long time ago and I used my cute Mini Mummy Edwin I got from Magnolia-licious.
