Merry Christmas 'Summer'!

Hi there my crafty peeps. Today I have a card to share using the 'Summer' Stamp and ironically I made a Christmas Card using her. That's just how versatile these gorgeous stamps are!
While at Michaels last week I found these berries and poinsettias and they are a little big but I knew they would be PERFECT with this image! I LOVE the way this card came out. The Sentiment is by Lili of the Valley, 'Christmas Wishes'.

If you haven't gotten this gorgeous image yet we have a list of stores you can buy from HERE.

Have you seen the Bloom Girl Video Library? Tons of Bloom Girl Projects to check out.

Hope you all have a wonderful Day!

Lili of the Valley Blog Hop and new Coloring Video!

Hello everyone.
Lili of the Valley has done it again with another gorgeous "I have to have collection"!
These new stamps will be available in the Lili of the Valley Shop on Saturday the 22nd. They will be available online on Monday the 24th.

There's 10 new fabulous stamps and 3 new paper pads in this release.
Check out the sneak peeks from the designers.

As always, Lili of the Valley is so generous a random comment will be chosen from one of our blogs and you will win a set of goodies from this release!

Here's my card I chose to use this cutie, "Afternoon Stroll". I also have a video on coloring this image and creating a scene. I created clouds by coloring negative space. I normally create grass all around the image but this time I decided to make grass only behind her as if she was walking along a path.. taking an 'Afternoon Stroll'.
The papers I used are Lili of the Valley's Up, Up and Away paper pad.

Here's the video. Sorry for the bad lighting. It was cloudy when I was recording.
I hope you enjoy the video and the hop!
Have a wonderful day!

Glass Christmas Ornaments

I can't believe Christmas is like.. RIGHT THERE! WOW, where does the year go, seriously!?

I've been on Pinterest a lot over the last few weeks and I've gotten some great Christmas project ideas. This was one of them. Decorating Glass Ornaments. We will actually be making these at my Class over at This n That Scrapbooking in Chino Hills on December 3rd. You can find more information on the class over on the This n that Website.

I think I will do a YouTube video on decorating them. I just love this first one. I actually used Spellbinders Dies to create my border! :)

Visit me next month for a tutorial!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'm SO GLAD it's almost over!

Holiday Gift Ideas - BLOG HOP

Handmade Holidays 2014 Hop Logo
Welcome to the 4th Annual Handmade Holidays Blog Hop! A few years ago we were looking online for handmade gift ideas and thought it would be great if there was a resource dedicated JUST to handmade gift ideas. Enter the Handmade Holidays hop! We've gathered over 100 of our creative blogger friends in the craft industry as well as some of our fellow product manufacturers to bring you a plethora of inspiring gift ideas you can make now to give to your friends, family, and colleagues. Pin and bookmark these ideas for this holiday season and to use throughout the year! Each day of the hop features approximately 30 gift projects and you can "hop" from one blog to another to check them all out.

I decided to make a home decor' wooden accent for my home as my Gift Idea for the blog hop.
I have taken the 'Simple Christmas' set from Neat and Tangled and decorate my wooden plaque.

First thing I did was paint the wood in some white acrylic paint. Then I took some random sticker alphabets and added my quote and stamped my stamp in Clearsnaps 'Night' crafters ink. Then heat set the stamped image.

I painted over my letters again with the acrylic paint and then traced them with a charcoal pencil.

I then used the little leaves from Neat and Tangled 'Simple Christmas Set' and made some grass and bushes around the house. I drew my own little flowers.

After that I took my Colorbox Chalk: Cat's Eye® Olive color ink pad and stamped the inkpad itself onto the sides of the wooden plaque. It's perfect since it has the shape of a leaf! Heat set!

Then I just traced the ink using my pencil and I made extra little doodles and veins in the leaves.

Then I rolled up some canvas scraps and used a hot glue gun to keep the shape and glued them to the edges of the wooden plaque. They are the cutest little shabby chic rosebuds!

That's it. I hope you enjoyed my little project.

Here's some photos of my finished project.

A Lili of the Valley Christmas Gift Set.

Hi there crafty peeps!

Here's on of 2 of the project gift sets we will be creating at my class at Custom Impressions this Friday! Isn't it super cute!

This image from Lili of the Valley and is called Shine a Light. I love the rich BG color of this Copic Combo. I used BG72, BG75, BG78 and N7. GORGEOUS! The card is simple, The base is actually an envelope, perfect for a gift card or money for a friend, co-worker teacher etc. I have also made a matching Candle. I really wanted to focus on the pleats in her coat and again show everyone how adding a little 'N7' really makes a huge difference in depth when coloring. My students know it as my 'make it pop'. :o)

Have a wonderful day.

Mixed Media Card Class at This n That!

Hi everyone!

I have gotten a tiny bit behind on posting and well everything since my trip to Puerto Rico.
I hope after this weekend I'll be caught up. Since coming back I have had only 2 days (in 2 weeks) and trying to prepare for 3 local classes, it was my sons Birthday and we had a surprise party oh yeah and Halloween! So it's been a little hectic. I will bounce back. Promise!

Here's a card using a Julie Nutting Stamp that I made for my Class at This n That. That class is THIS Wednesday and it's just about full! So it will be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see my regular girlies and some new faces, too! This class we going to be coloring using Copics and also creating this gorgeous Mixed Media background. The photo really doesn't do it justice!

I'll be posting some photos from my trip soon, too.
