A Christmas Card

Well it's Friday once again, today I have a Just Magnolia and Fussy and Fancy card for you. At Just Magnolia we have this lovely sketch for you by Dawny. Over at Fussy and Fancy our theme is Christmas colors but it doesn't HAVE to be a Christmas card. I thought I would get an early start at them though :)

This is one of my favorite Christmas Tilda's and the best part is she makes a wonderful Birthday card too. I wanted to use actual tissue paper but honestly I was too lazy to dig it out of the hall closet. I found this tullee and it works just as good. I made a slit in the top lin of the box and tucked the tullee inside and used my scor-tape to keep it in place. I love the way it came out. Hope you like it too.

I will see you Monday with the RRR Blog hop!

Cracked Fish Bowl Easel Card.

Friday is here and it's the last weekend of Summer for my kiddos. They will be back in school on Tuesday, but not before our busy, jam packed weekend! Saturday we have an all day Family BBQ I will get to see my Uncles and Aunts and my dad :) and brother and sister! I'm super excited! I dont see them all that often and when I do it's usually my party so I'm busy doing everything. Not this time :) Then On Sunday we are waking up early and driving out to Santa Barbara for my uncle, on my moms side, Wedding. So I will get to spend the rest of the weekend with my mom! We will be sleeping in her hotel and driving home Monday morning. Then Tuesday is back to school and a normal schedule!!!!

Here's my card for Just Magnolia, our theme for this week is Anything Goes I used used the Cracked Glass Technique. I had to use my favorite.. Little Mermaid Tilda. I just love her. I was looking through my Stamps and saw her in a fish bowl, I thought using the cracked glass on the entire bowl would look cool. I wanted to resemble a fish bowl sitting on a table, so I left the bottom of the easel card square and made it brown. I'm happy with the outcome.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Farewell Tilda......Farewell Summer!

Happy September 1st! I cannot believe how fast this year is going by! It's going to be Christmas before you know it! This month over at Magnolia-licious Highlights our theme is chosen by the one and only Becca Feeken and she has chosen our theme to be "Bon Voyage" So you need to use a stamp from the adorable Bon Voyage Collection, and you need to either make a suitcase or backpack. Suzanne Dean has a great tutorial for the suitcase and you can find the backpack tutorial over on splitcoast.

This card is also for Really Reasonable Ribbon's Challenge, Our theme over on the RRR blog is Flowers. I used my white ruffled ribbon to go around my rosebuds, it adds so much more to the flower and gives it a great vintage feel. Dont ya think?

If you haven't seen the new Autumn 2010 Collection you must drop everything you are doing and hurry and pre-order every single darling stamp!!! You will LOVE these..
